This paper is written by the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR). It provides an analysis of the fairness of the judicial process that culminated in the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia (the Supreme Court) rejecting the appeal by parliamentarian Mu Sochua against her conviction for defamation handed down by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on August 4, 2009 and upheld by the Appeal Court on October 28, 2009.
