CCHR commends Appeal Court for overturning guilty verdict for Phlong Srey Rann

The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (''CCHR'') commends the decision by the Appeal Court on 31 December 2012 to overturn the Phnom Penh Municipal Court's 2011 guilty verdict for Phlong Srey Rann. Srey Rann, a lesbian, was accused of illegal detention and human trafficking by her girlfriend's family and sentenced to five years in prison in November 2011 after being convicted on charges of statutory rape.
